The mission of Crawfish Aquatics is to offer a quality swim program unified by integrity, overall development and fulfillment of potential.
Our goal is to provide Baton Rouge and the surrounding area competitive and recreational swimming for children and adults of all ages. Through our diverse programs, Crawfish Aquatics seeks to provide a healthy, positive, enriching atmosphere for its membership to compete, train or participate at any level. To fulfill our mission, we seek to staff the most qualified coaches and personnel available, to provide a clean, safe facility and to teach and educate our membership on the benefits and attributes that are learned through swimming.

Crawfish Aquatics offers a Learn to Swim program during the months of April through July for children ages 3-12. Children in the community are offered 2-week classes of group lessons taught by team members and college students. The swim lesson program is structured with a 8-stage progression of skills from beginning skills to advanced swimming skills. Children attaining Level 5 or higher are encouraged to progress to Crawfish Swim School offered three semesters year round.

The Crawfish Aquatics Novice Division offers children ages 4-12 an introduction to swim team and serves as a transition group from Swimming Lessons to our Developmental Competitive track- the 8 & Under and Age Group Development Division (9-13yrs). Children in the Novice groups are limited for a low swimmer to coach ratio (5:1). Novice is offered in 2-3 month seasons in the fall and spring and 1 month summer sessions.

The Seasonal Swim Team is a
competitive swim team program for children ages 5 to 13 years old and focuses on basic to advanced stroke technique, develops competition skills and serves as an introductory program to the year round competitive program. 2 & 4 day practice options are available- great for children involved in multiple sports! Swimmers in this group are part of the competitive swim team and have meet opportunities at our home pool and local competitions throughout the year.

Crawfish Aquatics offers a USA swimming program year-round for children interested in competitive swimming instruction and swimming meet opportunities. The competitive swimming program is structured to develop young athletes from beginners to elite athletes using the Mutli-Year Comprehensive Training Development philosophy. Swimmers compete in local meets around the state of Louisiana, in Regional meets in the Southeast and Texas and in National Meets across the United States. The Competitive Team has been in the top three in Louisiana for the past 7 years, winning six state titles 2005-2008 and currently ranks as one of the best in the United States.

Crawfish Aquatics staff and personnel operate the Capital City Swim League, the high school swimming league in Baton Rouge. Members of the coaching staff provide coaching and assistance for high school teams while administrative staff members, coaching staff and team volunteers host league meets each week and the league championship meet. Crawfish Aquatics offers a High School Swim Squad as part of our USA Swimming groups during the months that high school swimming teams do not offer practice.

Crawfish Aquatics offers Adults in the Baton Rouge area fitness and recreational swimming opportunities through our Masters swimming program. Area Tri-athletes also take advantage of the structured practices offered 3 times per day; mornings before work and school, lunchtime and evenings after 6:00 PM. The Masters swimming times are supervised by an on-deck coach and a practice is offered with modifications for beginners, intermediate level and advanced swimmers.
