Exciting times lie ahead for the Crawfish Aquatics family! In August 2009, Crawfish Aquatics branched out and is now also in Lafayette, Louisiana. Coach Thomas Clavier, Coach Lyndsey D'Augereau, and Coach Susan Savoie have all accepted coaching positions with Crawfish Aquatics and will continue the growth and spirit of swimming in Lafayette.
Coach Thomas Clavier swam at both the University of Tennessee and Indiana University. At the conclusion of his collegiate swimming career, he became a certified personal trainer, helping people of all ages and abilities, including collegiate and Olympic athletes. He was also a coach for the university's Masters Swim Program while in Tennessee. Upon his return to Louisiana, he became Head Coach of Riverside Swim Team in Lafayette.
Coach Lyndsey D'Augereau swam at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. After college, Lyndsey moved to Tennessee and was both Head Coach at Lambuth University and Assistant Age Group Coach for the Union University Swim Team in Jackson, TN. After returning to Louisiana, she became a Licensed Massage Therapist and began coaching at Riverside Swim Team.
Coach Susan Savoie moved to Louisiana in 1982 and began working her magic in the Lafayette Area. Since moving to Lafayette, Susan has coached swimming at Lafayette High School, 1997 to present, coached Comeaux High for 6 years, and worked her way up to Head Coach of Lafayette Swim Team where she coached for 14 years. In 2003 Susan bought Susan Street Aquatics and operated her business for the past five years. Susan ran many water related programs at her pools including Senior Water Aerobics, Swimming Lessons, Swim Team, and Life Guard Training. Susan brings years of experience and a genuine love for the sport. We are all very excited to have Susan join the Crawfish family!
The Crawfish Aquatics family has gained exceptional swimmers, parents, and heart. By combining the talent and resources of both cities, tremendous opportunities for all involved are born and are endless. Crawfish Aquatics is GOING TO GREATNESS!
Crawfish Aquatics Lafayette is located at 107 Susan Street, across from Lafayette High School. Renovations have begun, and we look forward to a very bright future in Lafayette.
