Advanced Competitive Track- Senior Division


Senior Red-
Group Focus:   This is an introductory group to the Senior Division for ages 13 and over. Training will consist of technique refinement, development of an aerobic base, and learning racing strategies. Dry land training is also a part of the regimen with a focus on improving core strength, general strength improvement, and improving balance and speed. Swimmers must have moderate skill in all 4 competitive strokes. Practices will be offered up to 5 times per week.

Practices: Mon-Saturday, 1.5 hours & Drylands  

 


 
Senior White & Senior Black
These are advanced training groups for age 13 and over. 

Placement in either group will be determined by the Head Coach and a year round commitment is required. 
Parent involvement in club activities and meet hosting responsibilities is expected for swimmers in these groups.

Senior White
Group Focus:  Technique refinement, increasing aerobic capacity, and advanced racing strategies will be the primary training focus. Dry land workouts will be designed to enhance the strength and flexibility necessary for improvement. Training will be designed for peak performances 2 times a year at the state championships. Advancement to Senior Black is a possibility from this group. To create the best opportunity for success it is recommended that swimmers take advantage of as many offered workouts as possible. A maximum of 6 practices in the water (2 hours) and 2 dry land workouts(1.5 hours) will be offered per week.

Practices: Mon-Saturday, 2 hours & Drylands


Senior Black

Group Focus:   Training will be designed to elicit peak performances two times per year at the state meets, sectional meets, or junior or senior nationals. Attendance is required at all workouts unless excused by the Head Coach. This group is for the highly skilled, motivated, and committed swimmer. A maximum of 7 practices will be offered (2.5 hours) and 3 dry land workouts per week.

Practices: Mon-Saturday, 2.25-2.5 hours & Drylands
