Think Tank StudyRoom

We are pleased to announce that this fall we will be opening the Crawfish Aquatics Think Tank- a study and homework room for CA and Exerfit families to use in the afternoons while at the pool. It will be open Mon-Thur from 3:30-6:30PM and available for swimmers to check in prior to or following practice to get their studies done while not in practice! This room will have a proctor/supervisor and children will sign in/sign out; studying and homework use will be heavily enforced!

About the Think Tank Study Room:

  • The Think Tank is a room for studying, reading and homework and is open to Crawfish Aquatics and Exerfit families.
  • Open Monday – Thursday, 3:30-6:30 PM.
  • Think Tank is equipped with five computer stations for a total of 10 study desks.  There are also project tables and sofas and a resource area stocked pens, pencils, graphing paper, typing paper, calculators, etc.
  • Two computers are equipped with internet access, which will block all social networks and inappropriate websites.   Users will obtain permission & password from the Think Tank proctor to use the internet. Parents can sign an internet denial form if they do not want their child to use this resource.
  • Users will need to provide their own method of transferring a document from the computers (via USB drive, emailing files to home email, etc.). 

 

Rules and Regulations:

  • Children 7 years and younger must be accompanied/supervised by an adult
  • Children checking themselves in without an adult must sign in and out of the room (This includes bathroom breaks)
  • Food and drinks are NOT allowed inside the Think Tank.
  • Cell phone use is NOT permitted (This includes texting). 
  • Talking must be kept to a minimum, please use inside voices.
  •   Treat all furniture and equipment properly.
  • All borrowed items must be returned to their original location after use.
  • Be sure to collect all personal items before checking out – we are not responsible for what is left in the Think Tank!

Disciplinary actions/Misuse of facility

  • 1st offense, verbal warning up to three
  • 2nd offense, following 3rd verbal warning parent will be notified and must escort to Think Tank for following session.  Child will sit outside of Think Tank until his/her practice time or parent comes to check them out, whichever comes first.
  • 3rd offense, for subsequent offenses, meeting with parent and coach to determine if privileges will be suspended or if continued chaperone will be required.
