Crawfish Aquatics is headed to Pensacola! January 13-15
This is a HIGHLIGHT team event every year. Kick off the new year with your friends at Crawfish Aquatics as we travel to Pensacola to "face off" with some new teams!
Divisions Competing: 8 & Under, Age Group Dev, Junior and Senior Red/Senior White
When: January 13-15th
Meet: Greater Pensacola Aquatic Club Winter Invitational (Pool: UWF Aquatic Center)
Sign up: by December 5th to participate.
Team Hotel: Hampton Inn, Pensacola Airport: 2187 Airport Blvd. 850-478-1123; block is under Crawfish Aquatics Parents -->-->-->(ask for “CAP” code) and the rooms are $119/night. The double rooms have 2 queen beds; the king rooms include a sleeper sofa. Hotel is near the competition pool and features hot breakfast buffet.
Meet Information: The host team has alternated meet format in the past years. The last year they hosted this meet & last time we attended was January 2009; they ran all ages in one morning session with 13 & O in one pool and 12 & U in the other pool. Depending on the number of participants this year, the host team may decide to run return to the format of running the 12 & U events in the afternoon and 13 & O events were in the morning (using one pool for female events, one for male). It looks like they are going to try to keep the 2009 format of having all ages in the same session; however this will be determined until later in December once they have an accurate estimate of meet participants.
The Meet Host will be sending the meet invitation in early December.

Team Travel/Bus:
We will take 1 bus this year. Bus sign up will open FIRST for those 11 & Older swimmers that will travel with the team/stay in a CA Chaperoned room OR swimmers in the Senior division and Junior Black (regardless of if staying in a CA Chaperoned room or with parents); THEN after November 28 we will open up remaining spots to 10 & O swimmers from all divisions. We anticipate having room for parents on the bus; please list name with swimmer sign up & we will confirm later in November.
Fees: Some are ranges as they are dependent on the number of participants.
Meet Entry Fees- based on # of events entered in
Travel Trip Fee- $10 per swimmer (for all entered swimmers, paid post-meet w/ entry fees)
Bus rider only- $55 - $65 per person
Bus & stay in CA Chaperoned Room- $135 - $145
Payment of Bus/Hotel Room- accounts set up on bank draft/CC charge will be debited on January 9th; if your account is not set up for this payment method, bus/hotel payment must be made by January 2nd.
Important Dates:
November 28- bus sign up opens to ALL 10 & Older swimmers
December 5th- sign up deadline
January 9th- Debits posted for bus and hotel room (CA Chaperoned) fees
Tentative Travel & Meal Information:
-Bus departs BR approx 10:00AM on Friday (swimmers pack lunch, snacks for the bus/ to eat on road)
-Friday night- pizza at the hotel for all swimmers/families/siblings
-Saturday lunch following the meet- at the mall food court
**if long sessions anticipated, will have box lunch orders delivered to swimmers at the pool- TBD
-Saturday dinner- TBA, area restaurant
-Sunday lunch after meet- box lunch pick up and eat on road OR mall food court- TBD
