New 8 & Under Championship Meet Date- August 21-22
Green group swimmers will be automatically entered in the meet/new meet date.
Swim School swimmers please sign up by emailing the office to indicate intent to swim, or signing up on Meets Board at practice. Swimmers will not be entered in the meet unless sign up for the meet (again). Swimmers can participate in the 8 & U meet regardless of participation in the fall semester (although we hope you will continue this fall!).
Scratch Deadline (YR) and Meet Sign up Deadline- Thursday, August 5th
Meet Clinic- Due to Swim School practices not resuming until August 23rd, we will offer a meet clinic for the Swim School swimmers participating in the 8 & U meet on Wednesday, August 18th from 5:15-6:15PM. No sign up for the clinic required.
Meet Schedule
Warm-up: 8:00AM (pls arrive by 7:45AM) Meet: 8:45 each day
Same Facility- Elmwood Fitness Center located at 1200 S. Clearview Pkwy in Harahan, La. 70123.
Parking is located in either the front entrance off of Clearview Pkwy, and there is also parking located in the back off of Mounes Drive.

Team Dress- White CA shirts on Saturday; Red CA shirts on Sunday
Relays- Freestlye Relay on Saturday; Medley Relay on Sunday. Relay assignments will be made at the meet following the 25 back on Saturday and after the 25 fly on Sunday; please make sure to check in with Coach Laura or Coach Lyndsey before you leave! We want to make as many relays as possible so that communication is crucial.
Same Event Order-
Saturday Events- 25 Freestyle, 25 Backstroke, 100 IM, 100 Freestyle Relay
Sunday Events - 25 Breaststroke, 25 Butterfly, 100 Free, 100 Medley Relay
Due to weather concerns for this weekend, the 8 & U meet will NOT be held in New Orleans this weekend. The meet host is looking at possible dates to reschedule and we will post that on our site as soon as it is recieved.
All swimmers, green, yellow and swim school, will need to indicate if they will swim in the meet once the new date is announced. More information to come as soon as it is sent to us!
