Texas Open, UT Austin

-Sign up EARLY- by May 20th, Meets Sign Up board or by email
Team trip to the Texas Open, held at UT in Austin as a team bus trip. There will be a 12 & U bus and a 13 & O bus. Parents are welcome to ride the buses also (majority of room will be on the 12 & U bus for parents). Upon sign up, will need you to indicate if your child will travel to the meet/stay with parents, travel on the bus & stay in a CA Coach chaperoned room with teammates, or will travel on the bus with the team and stay with parent at hotel.
Fees- We are in the process of getting bus/travel fees and will communicate this once all estimates are in.
Meet Invitation/Information- We are awaiting the meet information from the host club, however the structure for the past few years has been as follows:
-Friday, after 1PM: all ages
-Sat & Sun, morning: 12 & U
-Sat & Sun, afternoon: 13 & O
Departures:
The buses will depart on Thursday approximately 10:00AM (following practice) with a team dinner/outing on Thursday night and again on Friday morning prior to the start of the meet.
Practice Commitments/Attendance:
There will be practice commitments required for swimmers in Blue, Red, White, Yellow groups during mid-April (from April 19th on), May, June (leading up to trip) as follows:
Blue/Red- per Coach Billy, as announced to swimmers at practice
White- avg 4 of 6 practices per week
Yellow- avg 3 of 6 practices offered
Practice attendance requirements will be monitored for participation in this meet following the sign up deadline also. We want to attend as a TEAM, do the proper work in advance to be prepared and be ready to compete.
Hotel Information
We have set aside a block of rooms honoring the rate of $99.00 for Thursday, July 1 through Saturday, July 3rd. This rate includes continental breakfast, internet and parking.
