Non-Certificate Granting CPR Course

Learn how to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in children!

Crawfish Aquatics is pleased to announce a CPR and choke saving rescue course for the infant, child and adult victims offered at our Bluebonnet location in July and August.  This is a NON-A CERTIFICATION GRANTING Course taught by Kelechi Iheagwara, M.D.  Participants will practice their rescue technique on pediatric manikins. Classes are held in the CA Think Tank (in the back hallway behind the scoreboard end of the indoor pool).

Pre-registration is required.  The cost of the class is $10 per participant and limited to 15 participants. Your $10 donation goes to Crawfish Agape International (our Outreach Lessons program in which Crawfish Aquatics partners with local groups to offer free swimming lessons to children that may not get the opportunity for formal swimming lessons.

About Dr.Iheagwara
Kelechi Iheagwara, M.D., MPH, received her M.D. degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. She then completed a Pediatric Critical Care fellowship through The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Iheagwara also holds a Master of Public Health, Health Policy and Management degree from Columbia University.  She is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care medicine.  She is currently working at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital as a Pediatric Critical Care Physician.  Dr. Iheagwara has a special interest in Simulation-based education and CPR.   She is the CO-Director of Simulation at OLOL Children's Hospital.  Dr.Iheagwara has traveled with Operation Smile to different  parts of the world teaching Pediatric Advanced Life support (PALS),  Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).  Mother of three children that take swimming lessons at Crawfish Aquatics.
