Red Cross Certification

Crawfish Aquatics is not currently offering Red Cross Certification Courses as we no longer have a RC Instructor on our staff (updated Jan 2020). Contact the local Red Cross office for training sites.

Lifeguard Staffing for private events/parties:  Crawfish Aquatics does not offer a lifeguard staffing service or send staff to home pools for private instruction. If you are looking for a lifeguard for an event, email Crawfish Aquatics office in BR, Lafayette or at Nicholls with the details (location, number/age of swimmers, hourly rate (typically $20-$25/hour), duration, etc. and we are happy to forward your information to individuals who have participated in our Red Cross Lifeguard Certification classes.

Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you will learn teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills, First Aid and CPR/AED and other skills you need to work as a professional lifeguard. Optional add-on modules, including waterfront skills or waterpark skills modules, may also be available with some course sessions.

Topics include Patron Surveillance, Rescue Skills, Victim Assessment, Care for head, neck and spinal injuries along with full CPR/AED course work and full First Aid course work.

Successful completion results in a 2-year certification in Lifeguarding that includes first aid, professional-level CPR and AED in one certificate. Digital certificate available upon successful completion of course.
