Buddy Walk
Saturday March 21, 2026
For many years, Crawfish has been honored to partner with the Down Syndrome Awareness Group (DSAG) to provide free swim lessons for individuals with Down syndrome. This partnership is incredibly meaningful to our team and reflects our deep commitment to inclusion, water safety, and serving every child in our community.
DSAG’s largest fundraiser of the year, the Buddy Walk, will take place on Saturday, March 21—which is also World Down Syndrome Awareness Day. Because of this powerful connection, this year’s event is expected to be especially impactful.
To fully support this special day, Crawfish Aquatics and Crawfish Swim School will pause all regular Saturday programming on March 21 so our organization can come together to participate in the Buddy Walk as one unified team. The only programming that will continue is our Age Group swim practices in Baton Rouge, as Saturday practice opportunities are limited for these athletes and we want to remain committed to their training schedule and we will still hold our Next Gen Meet in Lafayette for athletes at that site.
We would love for your family to join the Crawfish team in supporting DSAG.
Here’s how you can participate:
Register using our team link: DSAG CRAWFISH TEAM PAGE
Order a Crawfish Buddy Walk team T-shirt for $20 (all proceeds benefit DSAG): CRAWFISH DSAG T-SHIRT ORDER FORM
Look for upcoming volunteer opportunities as the event approaches
More specific details for March 21—including the event timeline and our designated Crawfish team meeting time and location—will be shared as soon as they are finalized.
This day represents far more than a walk—it is a celebration of inclusion, joy, and the life-saving mission we share. Thank you for always being a community that leads with heart and purpose.
